This will all depend on the kind of traveller you are. We recommend budgeting a minimum of $1000 per month whilst travelling around Thailand. Of course, you can easily go over this or even keep it lower. If you wish to keep your costs LOW, it’s best to stay in hostels, eat local food, avoid private transport and limit your nights out drinking. You will most likely do plenty of tours and they can become costly if you don’t find the right deal. It’s always helpful to find other tourists to join you on tours to reduce the initial costs. Be sure to keep an eye on your budget throughout your trip and always have some emergency funds as travel can be unpredictable.
