Is Thailand safe?

Yes! Thailand is considered one of the safest places to travel in South East Asia. But although it is considered safe it is always important to be diligent while travelling and be mindful of your belongings. Try to be responsible while drinking, and be wary of your drinks on nights out as there are known cases of drink spiking.

Don’t do drugs in Thailand. Although weed is now legal, the possession of class-A drugs will result in a lengthy jail sentence (3 – 20 years).

Be very careful on the roads, especially whilst driving scooters. Thailand’s fatality rate on the road is double that of the world’s average with 75% of incidents being motorcycle related. We highly recommend always wearing a helmet not only for your safety but also to avoid fines.
